There are many germs and bacteria that long to live on your toothbrush bristles, but our Toluca Dental Care team has some tips for you that will help you keep your brush in a clean and pristine condition. We recommend doing the following things on a regular basis:

-Make sure you wash your hands thoroughly with soap and warm water before and after you brush your teeth.

-After you are done brushing, rinse the brush with warm water and store it upright so the bristles can dry.

-Moist environments are breeding grounds for bacteria, so don’t cover your toothbrush until it is completely dry.

-Use a completely dry toothbrush each time you clean your smile. If you have a hard time with this, you can buy another toothbrush and switch off between using them.

-Don’t share your toothbrush with anyone, and make sure you don’t store your brush in a place where it can touch other toothbrush bristles.

-Replace your toothbrush after three or four months of use and always replace it after you have been sick.

-If you are sick, make sure you use a separate tube of toothpaste from everyone else so you don’t spread germs. It’s best to use a travel-sized tube.
